Yes, you did the right thing, even if all the conservative no-violence people say you didn't. I know I would've in your situation, and I have a bunch of times before. And no, I'm not a down-and-out druggie. I'm a lot like you, taking all honors/AP cles and getting straight A's and doing sports, etc.
