Friend keeps sending me emails even after we stop talking to each other?

I have a friend we got mad at each other and I asked her to stop talking to me and he has to look for his future and I am going to look for my future too in adifferent place, different country after we became freinds for almost a year, but he doesnot want to do that, and he most likely sending me emails, telling me about his life and what he is doing and what his plan for coming days, what his relaitonship with his new freinds, do you think this friend is crazy , or me who is crazy, and when do you think he will stop sending me emails, it has been 5 months from our stop talking to each other and he still contacting me through email although we do not see each other in person, just through emails!!! tell me please, what is your opinion about this friend ?
