Does this sound like a scam to you?

I applied for a job yesterday on craigslist for a cleaning lady. Today I got a callback and the 'owner' told me she'd like to try me out for a few hours, but in case I can't 'cut it' she wanted me to come clean her apartment not take me to a clients home. She said I would be paid for my time. I got the name of the company and her contact info, and told her I would call her back to let her know. I tried researching this company, and found NO info whatsoever on it. Her email address is just a yahoo addy, and when I looked at the profile, it said her name was Judy, when she told me her name was Val. I had my boyfriend call her 'business line' to see how she answered, and she just answered with hello, not saying the name of the company. She also said she is a part of the 5 member team and they all work M, W, F, from 9-3, yet she called me from home on Wednesday at about 11. I have been desperately looking for a job for several months, so it makes me want to go check this out, but her apartment is over an hour from me, so it would be quite the waste of my gas if it was a scam of some kind and I wind up not getting paid. Does this sound like a scam to you? Would you go to her apartment?
