Why should I have to describe myself as an atheist?

call yourself what ever you want like me I call myself a bare minimum christian because I don't like the connotations to just christian. how about, nonbeliever, lifestyle buddhist (if you follow the lifestyle not the religion), or maybe just religionless, or without religion, a person with no belief in a god or creator. idk i've never had to do this before. perhaps just go by no name and just explain your position on religion to the person who asks. good luck with this.
