Should i go on suicide watch?

my family just found out im bi. i live with my aunt in denver, while my mom is in colombia (south america) and my dad is in pittsburgh. my mom is super mad about it, and she is a very aggressive person. im being sent down there to see her in two weeks. ive been cutting and i know its stupid. but i really want to avoid going to colombia. because i dont want to be forced to stay and i know my mom is gonna attack me when she sees me. should i go and show the social worker at my school my cuts, and be most likely put on suicide watch so i wont be aloud do leave the country? or should i just go and face my crazy aggressive mom? hellppppp
