Harry Potter....?

Alright, I had the same problem at first. In the Harry Potter books there are people that use magic for evil purposes. But the same happens in the books like Narnia, which had an evil witch in it; or Lord of the Rings and The wizard of Oz. I bet that the difference to your mother is they were written by Christians. They have good morals to their stories. Now, Harry Potter books have morals too. They say that death is not the end, that love will triumph over adversity and that everyone will make good and bad choices, whether they can do magic or not. One quote in it is "Soon we all must choose between what is right and what is easy." They are also full of examples of loyalty and bravery. There really is no bad difference between Harry Potter and other magical books. The magic is a gimmick - if you look past it, you find a feast of clic morals and values.
