Evaporation lines do not have color right?

I took a HPT late last night and got a thin line that was not only noticeable but blue like it should be..I waited all night to test again this morning and when I did I didn't get a BFP... I know I should retest but I'm at CD43 shouldnt I be getting solid answers by now!
