Does anyone else think training, arming & funding the Iraqi military might come back to haunt us?

Could it? Yes. Will it? Most likely no. Look at the last two times we went at it with them, most of the Iraqi's dropped their weapons and ran away. When we train them we do not train them the tactics that we currently use but tactics that we have moved on from and that we know how to defend and beat without out a problem. For example when we teach them CQB we teach them to strong wall, which we do not use and is not hard to counter. The bigger problem we face with that country is the terrorist that will most likely find Iraq as a safe haven if the Iraqi police can not pull it together. But right now they are in control of 11 of the 13 providence's and are doing just fine minus the IED's which we can never fully stop and will reduce greatly once we are gone.
