Anyone surprised Sheets stinks?

An oft injured, barely over .500 career pitcher is supposed to be the "Ace" of the A's staff and they give him a ton of money. Anyone surprised this is shaping up to be another ridiculous, overpaid player that the team didn't put enough thought into before handing him a truckload of money? You'd think with stupid signings like Carl Pavano and Barry Zito teams would be a little more weary of these big deals but no - and this particular one the writing was on the wall.
